Numerous public transportation lines arrive at Karlsplatz, from where the Freihaus can be reached within a walking distance from 1 – 10 minutes: U1, U2, U4, D, 65, 71.

If you will arrive by train
at Vienna "Südbahnhof" (map):
walk (7 min) to underground station "Südtiroler Platz", take the train U1 (direction Kagran) to station "Karlsplatz" and walk (4 min) to the congress venue.
or
take the tramway D (direction Beethovengang) to station "Oper" (map) and then take the tramway "Badener Bahn WLB" (direction Wiener Neudorf Bahnhof) to station "Resselgasse" (map)
at Vienna "Westbahnhof" (map):
take the underground U3 (direction Simmering) to station "Volkstheater and switch over to the underground U2 (direction Karlsplatz) to station "Karlsplatz" (map), then walk (4 min) to then congress venue.
If you will arrive by aeroplane
at Vienna "Schwechat" (map):
City Airport Train (CAT) (direction City Air Terminal, extra tarif € 9,-- / online € 8,--) to station "City Air Terminal", then walk (8 min) to underground station "Landstrasse" (map) and take the underground train U4 (direction Hütteldorf) to station "Karlsplatz" (map) and walk (6 min) to the crongress venue.
or
Shuttle bus 1185 (direction City Air Terminal, EXTRA TARIF!) to station "City Air Terminal" (map), then walk (8 min) to underground station "Landstrasse" (map) and take the underground train U4 (direction Hütteldorf) to station "Karlsplatz" (map) and walk (4 min) to the crongress venue.
or
take the Shuttle bus 1187 (direction Wien Westbahnhof, EXTRA TARIF!) to station "Südbahnhof" (map), walk (11 min) to underground station "Südtiroler Platz" (map) and take the underground train U1 (direction Kagran) to station "Karlsplatz" (map) and walk (4 min) to the crongress venue.
The Freihaus is clearly visible at the south end of Karlsplatz as a big, green tower behind the library. Enter the Freihaus at the basement behind the library and proceed directly to the first floor. The Registration desk is located at the red area in front of the lecture hall 1 (H1). There is an additional building map available (german only).
